If someone in your household has invited you to join their eSphere home, this guide walks you through accepting the invite, creating your account, and pairing your phone so eSphere can detect when you're home.
Download the app
Step 1 — Open the invite text
The primary resident in your home will send you an invite by text message. Open the message and select the link for your phone's app store.
Step 2 — Download the eSphere app
The link takes you to the app store. Download and install the eSphere app.
Create your account
Step 3 — Select Sign up
Open the eSphere app and select "Sign up."
Step 4 — Create an account
Create your account using either your phone number or your email address. Both options send you a verification to confirm it's you.
Step 5 — Select Join an existing home
You'll see two options on the Welcome screen. Select "Join an existing home," then select "Next."
Step 6 — Enter your invite code
Enter the 6-character invite code the primary resident sent you in the text message, then select "Next."
Set up your profile
Step 7 — Enter your details
Add your first name, last name, and email address. You can add a profile photo here as well, but it's optional.
Step 8 — Add your profile
Select the blue "+" to set up your profile.
Step 9 — Create your profile
Enter your name and a short description, such as "Mom" or "Dad." A phone number is optional. You can also select "Autofill from Contacts" to fill these in automatically.
Step 10 — Review and save
Make sure your details are correct, then select "Save."
Allow permissions
Step 11 — Allow all permissions
eSphere needs a few permissions from your phone to recognize when you're home. You'll see a short explanation screen followed by a request from your phone for each one:
- Bluetooth — so eSphere can recognize your phone for accurate home presence
- Location — so eSphere can set up your home and create your profile
- Notifications — so you get real-time updates about your home presence
Select "Allow" on each request as it appears.
Step 12 — Welcome to your eSphere home
Your account is set up. You'll see a welcome screen with an overview of what eSphere does for your home.
Pair with Bluetooth
Step 13 — Start Bluetooth pairing
Next, pair your phone with the sensor for the most accurate presence detection. Select "Pair" to begin.
Step 14 — Confirm the pairing request
Your phone will ask if you'd like to pair with HC0100. Select the blue "Pair" button.
Step 15 — You're all set
Success! Your phone is now paired with your sensor and you're ready to use eSphere.
