This release of the eSphere sensor firmware reduces network scan impact on Eero mesh networks, improves detection reliability for devices that miss standard broadcast scans, and adds suspended detection mode for locked accounts.
Sensor firmware updates are delivered automatically. No action is required.

| Improved Detection of Previously Seen Devices | On-network scanning now sends targeted requests to known device addresses in addition to the standard broadcast scan. This improves detection reliability for devices that do not consistently respond to broadcast requests, such as iPhones with Wi-Fi in a low-power or sleep state. Detection remains dependent on the device operating system responding. |
| Account Lock Enforcement | Sensors on a locked account now enter a suspended detection mode. On-network, passive Wi-Fi, and BLE detection pause, while cloud connectivity and health monitoring remain active. Full detection resumes automatically once the account is unlocked. |
| Remote Scan Interval Tuning | Scan interval parameters can now be adjusted remotely without a firmware update, allowing scan behavior to be tuned for a specific deployment when troubleshooting. Adjusted values revert to firmware defaults after a power cycle. |

| False Offline Events on Eero Mesh Networks | Resolved an issue where sensors on Eero mesh networks could falsely report as offline and then back online. Eero networks carry significantly more of a certain type of network broadcast traffic than a typical home network, which could congest the network during a presence scan and briefly interrupt the sensor’s connection to the cloud. Scan traffic is now throttled and spaced further apart, and offline notifications wait longer before sending. |
