Good to Know
A factory reset returns the sensor to its original settings and erases its data and pairing. It can't be undone — but you can re-add the sensor anytime by following the standard installation flow.
Reset basics
- Reset is permanent. All sensor data and Wi-Fi credentials are erased.
- Re-pairing is easy. After a reset, just run through the install guide steps 11–22 again.
- Keep the sensor plugged in. Resetting requires the sensor to be powered.
- Bluetooth must be on. The app uses Bluetooth to confirm the reset.
Reset in the eSphere App
Follow these five steps in the app to remove the sensor from your account.
Step 1 — Open the More tab
Select the More tab at the bottom of your screen.
Step 2 — Select Sensors
Select Sensors. Here you can see a list of the sensors active in your home, including where they are located and what they are named.
Step 3 — Open the sensor's details
Select the sensor you wish to reset or delete by tapping the More details button.
Step 4 — Confirm all checkboxes
Ensure that all blue boxes are checked before tapping Next.
Step 5 — Complete the factory reset
Select the red Complete Factory Reset button to delete the sensor from your account and return it to its factory settings.
Complete the Reset on the Sensor
Tapping Complete Factory Reset in the app only starts the reset. You must press and hold the physical button on the sensor to finish it.
Step 6 — Press and hold the sensor button
Press and hold the physical button on the sensor for approximately 15 seconds, or until the LED changes from blinking green to solid blue, then release the button.

After the Reset
Once the reset is complete, here's what to expect and how to finish up.
- Lights will change. The sensor returns to setup mode (blinking green / solid blue).
- It disappears from your home. The sensor is removed from your account.
- Forget HomeAware in Bluetooth. Open your phone's Bluetooth settings and tap Forget on "HomeAware".
- Ready to install again. You can now add this sensor to any eSphere account.
